Filling out the application for access to the Integrated System

1.  Use of the Integrated System is based on "responsibilities."  Responsibilities are titles indicating your level of access to different "applications."  Responsibilities are described in detail on the Integrates System website.

Example: "LD Approver" is a responsibility - based on the IS website, an LD Approver can access the Labor Distribution application in the Integrated System to:

  • Schedule labor
  • Certify effort reports
  • Initiate distribution adjustments
  • Access distribution reports
  • Approve distribution adjustments
  • Set up Org Default Labor Schedules

Responsibilities are "assigned" to users based on completion of training. All users must take a navigation overview class, and subsequently one training class usually adds one responsibility to your list.

During the first few months you will probably choose to attend a lot of Oracle Training which is provided centrally by the University (Oracle is University wide; it is not a medical center or HSF application).

This page is not intended as a replacement for the Integrated System Home page, which is a great resource for getting user-friendly information about the system.  This page is intended to help you choose the responsibilties for which to apply* - the application you need to complete requires you list them.

Based on a survey of administrator responsibilities:

Most clinical administrators have the following responsibilities:

AP PO Viewer

GL Viewer

HRMS Recruitment Viewer

HRMS Viewer

GL Specialist

GM Award Manager

GM Viewer

GM Encumbrance Specialist

LD Approver

PO Purchaser

Some have the following responsibilities in addition to those above:

AP P Card Holder

PO Requester

LD Effort Report User

HRMS Timekeeper

Printer Set Up Specialist

HRMS Student and Faculty Wage Approver

*Please note:  the form does not grant you the access, it only grants you the potential to have the access activated - you have to attend the relevant training classes. If you attend a training for a responsibility for which you have not applied, you will have to complete a new form to apply for that responsibility before it will be activated.
