Administrator Networking
The purpose of ADEPT's networking initiative is to improve collaboration and connectivity among administrators and between departmen
ts, the School of Medicine, and the Health Services Foundation. Research has found that well-managed connectivity -- whether via access, awareness, or information sharing networks -- increases organizational performance, learning, and innovation as well as individuals' personal productivity, learning, and managerial success.
ADEPT uses social network analysis tools to find, assess, and strategically support key patterns of administrator collaboration. Network analysis helps the SOM identify and overcome disconnects and clustering caused by functional or departmental boundaries, hierarchical levels, physical distance, or organizational lines.
