Medical Simulation Facilities
The Medical Simulation Center is currently located in the McIntire wing of the Old Hospital. It occupies 1,200 ft2 and includes two large simulation rooms, a control room, a conference room, and office space.
The large simulation rooms contain a total of 5 patient bays outfitted to simulate various ED, OR, and ward clinical environments.
The state of the art control room is equipped with AV technology allowing for the remote control, interaction, monitoring, and recording of each patient bay.
The conference room is equipped to stream real-time video from the simulation rooms, or allow for immediate play back of sessions. It is therefore particularly useful for debriefing participants.
