Physical Therapists work in a variety of settings and with patients across the lifespan. Physical therapists work with patients or clients in hospitals (such as UVA), in nursing homes, in outpatient clinics, in the home, in schools, in healthclubs and on the job.

Through education and training physical therapists are skilled in the areas of movement and function working towards the restoration of function and the prevention of injury.
