Pediatric Surgery

The Pediatric Surgery Division, the Department of Surgery, the Children's Hospital, and the University of Virginia Health System provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care of surgical diseases in children ranging from premature infants to adolescents.

Faculty:
Each of our pediatric surgeons has completed a full residency in General Surgery and an additional two years of training in Pediatric Surgery and is certified in Pediatric Surgery and General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

The pediatric surgeon on call can always be reached by pager.  From outside the University, please call 434-982-3500 then dial the pager number 1356 (resident).  The attending, chief, or junior resident can be reached through the page operator at (434)-924-0000
