Neuroanatomy of AD/HD |
| The frontal lobe, right cerebral hemisphere, globus pallidus, hippocampus, nucleus acumbens, locus ceruleus, and thalamus [link to anatomic review] have been implicated in the etiology of AD/HD (16,25).
Evidence for involvement of these structure has come from morphologic examination, measures of glucose metabolism using positron emission scanning, blood flow analysis and clinical correlation in patients with acquired lesions in these areas. |
