About Our Fellows
Please check our Pediatric Fellows Listing to meet our current fellows and see where they trained. Hear what our fellows have to say about our programs and what Charlottesville has to offer:
What has been the best part of fellowship for you?
![]() |
"The people I work with are great. It is a great environment to learn in. It is the best way to learn without added stress. Working 1:1 with the attendings has been a great experience." |
What can the University of Virginia offer that other programs cannot?
| "I think the clinical training surpasses my expectations, and the ability to pursue other interests other than basic science research is fantastic. UVA has not only clinical and basic science research tracks, but also quality improvement and educational tracks that I will be participating in." Matt Ledoux, M.D., PL-5, Critical Care |

"The benefits program for housestaff is top notch. Medical benefits are completely included in your payment/package, with no co-pays for any office visits within the system. And a new "back-up/emergency care" program provides coverage if you have loved ones who need care and your typical care provider isn't available (weekend, holiday, after-hours). As a two-physician household with two young kids, we frequently need this service if we're both on call on a given weekend." |
What do you like most about living in Charlottesville?
|
"The sophisticated, safe, and friendly small town feel, and a well-educated population of young professionals, make Charlottesville the perfect place for a physician to raise a family and feel instantly at home." |
