School of Medicine Exam Scanning

The Office of Medical Education provides an exam scanning and scoring service to Medical School course directors.  If you are interested in having an exam scanned and scored please contact the Office of Medical Education (med-ed@virginia.edu or sba4p@virginia.edu) to arrange a time to drop off your exams. Scheduling exams in advance will reduce turnaround time. Exams that are not scheduled prior to drop off will be scanned and reports posted to the Web site within one business day. Scheduled exams will be scanned and reports posted within 3 hours of drop off time.

Item analysis, score report, frequency and subset reports are posted to a secure Web site.  Reports may be accessed by logging in with the course director’s or designated office manager’s UVA computing ID and user password (email password).  Course directors or designated office mangers can download the complete report set or choose specific reports in such formats as doc, pdf, xls, or txt.  If modifications are needed, send an email with the changes to med-ed@virginia.edu or sba4p@virginia.edu.

The reports can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection by going to the following location: https://www.web.virginia.edu/omescore.  You may want to bookmark this site for future access or make a short cut for your desktop.  If you are working from a public computer and don’t remember the web site, you can always access it from the link supplied here on the Medical Education site.
