Scribe Program

The Emergency Department at UVA has a formal scribe program. After a short training period, ED scribes shadow our physicians and document the patient's visit on the official medical record.
In addition to hourly wage, the scribes gain valuable experience in medical education, patient care and emergency medicine as a career choice.
