Inpatient Pediatric Nutrition Services

Inpatient pediatric nutrition services at UVA Health System are provided by a number of Registered Dietitians in the areas of general pediatrics, the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), the newborn intensive care unit (NICU), and the Kluge Children’s Rehabilitation Center.  The inpatient pediatric nutritionists work closely with the respective unit medical teams to provide nutritional assessment, care plan development and patient and staff education.  The inpatient pediatric nutritionists at UVA Health System provide nutrition services in the following settings:
