UVA: A Children's Miracle Network Hospital
The nationally-recognized Children's Miracle Network Hospitals aligns itself with more than 170 pediatric hospitals to raise funds to provide the best, most innovative care for patients across North America, including those receiving care at UVA Children's Hospital. Children's Miracle Network Hospitals works to build partnerships with individuals and corporate sponsors at the national level to support children's health at the local level.
Because 100% of every Children's Miracle Network donation or balloon sale stays local, UVA Children's Hospital is able to provide comprehensive, lifesaving care today, while searching for ways to improve care for childhood cancer, diabetes, heart disease, cystic fibrosis, genetic defects, and much more.
As the premier Children's Miracle Network-designated hospital in our community, UVA Children's Hospital receives annual support from Children's Miracle Network and its corporate sponsors. In addition, every individual gift made to "UVA Children's Hospital Children's Miracle Network 2011"—as well as donations of balloon sales at local merchants—stays at UVA to help children and families in our community.
UVA Children's Hospital receives direct support from, and serves, the seven counties surrounding the Charlottesville area including: Albemarle, Augusta, Fluvanna, Greene, Madison, Pendleton, and Rockingham counties. Every time you see the signature yellow and red Children's Miracle Network Hospitals balloon icons in one of these areas, someone has chosen to join UVA Children's Hospital in the fight against childhood disease and injury.
