A Makeover for the Whole Spirit

A fREE two-hour, hands-on group workshop, conducted by volunteer cosmetologists, includes a 12-step skin care and makeup program as well as a demonstration on how to use wigs, turbans, scarves and hats to help women cope with the appearance related side effects of cancer treatment. A free gift of cosmetics is provided. Patients must be undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment or recently finished with treatment to participate.

What is it?

A free, national public service program to help women undergoing cancer treatment learn to cope with the appearance-related side effects of treatment and regain a sense of self-confidence and control over their lives.

How does it happen?

Primarily offered in group sessions which provide education, information and support, LGFB classes are taught by volunteers who are all certified professional cosmetologists.

How can they help me?

You learn how to enhance your appearance using make-up techniques. You learn how to do your own makeover using makeup that is yours free of charge. You learn how to disguise hair loss using wigs, turbans, scarves and other accessories.
