Charlottesville Transit Service:
For more than 25 years, CTS has provided bus service throughout Charlottesville and portions of Albemarle County. Riders enjoy safe, clean and comfortable service Monday - Saturday from 6:30 AM until 7:00 PM on all routes and until midnight in many neighborhoods. Riding the bus is easy once you know the facts. All CTS vehicles are wheelchair accessible and equipped with bike racks. CTS bus stops are marked with orange and yellow signs on a white background bearing the CTS sunburst logo.
CTS has a new "Ticket-to-Ride"! Pay only $2 and enjoy unlimited rides on all CTS routes. Passes are valid for the date indicated on the pass with service from 6:00 AM until midnight. The $2 Ticket-to-Ride is currently available at CTS at 315, 4th St. N.W., the Downtown Visitor Center at 108 2nd St. S.E., and the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention & Visitors Bureau on Route 20. The Free Trolley (Route 11) is a valuable community service offering free rides between Downtown, The Corner and UVA Grounds. Every 15 minutes, Monday - Saturday, it services bus stops along its route. Operating from 6:38 AM - 11:53 PM, the last trolley leaves Downtown at 11:23 PM. Regular CTS buses displaying a "Free Ride" sign may substitute for the trolley.
